Local Akron Connection Home Grown Stage Schedule featuring Live Acoustic Music
6:00PM – 8:00PM
Barry Be
Lively Acoustic-Electric
Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Barry Be has been performing and entertaining audiences with his own style of music for the past 20 years. While most of his current repertoire consists of lively Acoustic-Electric coverage of the songs of famous artists like Neil Young, Crosby Stills & Nash (and CSNY), The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, Tom Petty and more, his song list also includes several select originals influenced by those and similar popular artists. His music is family friendly and often sing-along-able. He loves spontaneous audience participation! Barry is a two-time graduate of Kent State University, where experiences such as those associated with the tragic events surrounding May 4, 1970 at KSU as well as ones in his years-later postgraduate education translated into some of his favorite original songwriting. After an early retirement from multiple careers in editing, writing, database management, sales and marketing, Barry founded and managed band RiverFall (a.k.a. RiverFall Folkrock). The band is currently on hiatus as Barry solos and seeks out new music collaborations. To hear past music samples, please visit website RiverFall Folkrock (www.reverbnation.com/riverfallfolkrock)
12:00PM – 2:00PM
Terry T
Began playing guitar at 6 years old.
At 20, played in his first band called Miss Treated, a power trio.
Has played in many different bands ranging from heavy metal to classic rock to country. By my favorite is the blues, because of all of the feeling in it.
I played for a living for 15 years and still enjoy playing to this day.
Although I’ve played in many bands, with great musicians, my first love is the acoustic guitar. I love the stripped down sound of just my voice and my guitar.
I’ve played all over including 4 different states and will continue to play as long as I can. Music is pretty much a part of me.
